We’ve had a busy week! Here’s the latest from TradFi to DeFi
What’s in a phrase?
If you can own a phrase, you can carve out a community on the internet. For us, that phrase is “TradFi to DeFi”. To me that represents a journey, exploration, discovery. The end of one era and the beginning of another.
But this is not to ignore the past, but rather integrate the past lesson into a new and bright future. After all, innovation only happens when you learn valuable lessons from the past. That’s my vision for TradFi to DeFi.
This week we’re sharing multiple updates from our community. A new podcast episode about bitcoin-backed stablecoins, a new product testing launch, LinkedIn and social media updates, and some parting words from me (Tyler). It’s been a great week for TradFi to DeFi, so let’s jump in!
New Podcast Episode
I’m excited to share some of our latest content focused around Bitcoin and DeFi. Some would say you can’t have DeFi on Bitcoin because of its limited scripting capabilities. But clever projects have found ways around this. Community member David Seroy joined us on the podcast to discuss how.
David brings solid research and a wealth of knowledge to the table and we’re proud to feature his thoughts. This topic hits all the high points that we care about at TradFi to DeFi, you’re in for quite the treat!

Press Release — Elite Tests for Emerging Tech
Our partnership with Gamut has been formally announced! We just received the finalized testnet instructions from Gamut’s leadership, and our protocol testers will be receiving instructions soon about how to access this innovative protocol before the launch in a few weeks.
Huge shoutout to Ray for his amazing contributions on protocol testing instructions, this project will be massively successful thanks to his efforts. Instructions will soon be emailed to all the participants who have applied to become protocol testers. Stay tuned!
LinkedIn Legitimacy
Helping our community members get web3 jobs is a huge part of the TradFi to DeFi mission. In service of this goal, community member Dustin has led the charge on LinkedIn by creating our official TradFi to DeFi business page:

The first of many steps toward LinkedIn Legitimacy will be to create a “protocol tester” job that our product testers can claim, building their credibility for innovative cryptocurrency experience. We also plan to use the “recommendation” feature so our community can support one another as we build work experience together.

Concluding thoughts
TradFi to DeFi has come a long way since inception. What started as just two guys connecting in a substack comment thread (a fun story for another time) has grown into a motivated group of friends building toward a freer future.
